There are getting to be quite a few wineries in Iowa, it seems like their number had just exploded in the past couple of years. One of my favorites is the Kings crossing vineyard. Their selection of wines is really quite exceptional, both the reds and the whites. The vineyard is in a beautiful setting just like you expect. It actually looks a lot like the vineyards of California, which I suppose it should because most of the grape vines in California originally came from Iowa. That was a long time ago when Iowa used to be the wine producing center of the US.
