The Obama administration is very keen on helping motor manufacturers to come up with greener vehicles. Electric cars seem the obvious solution. Tesla Motors, for example, were awarded a loan of  $465 million to build an electric sedan and the battery packs needed to propel it. Tesla hope to have their Model s sedan in full production in two years time. Big companies like General Motors are also interested in getting a slice of the pie. Aptera Motors, one of the small guys, are well along in producing a 3-wheel all electric car which they say should be out by the end of 2009.
