When my grandfather was a younger man, he was a very bad alcoholic. He finally started cleaning up his act and got some alcoholism treatment when my mom was a teenager. It had been so many years since he had a drink, when he was diagnosed with kidney cancer. Could this have been because of the drinking? Or is it just an odd coincidence? He is still alive at the moment, but his cancer has been getting worse. The doctors have told us that he has a maximum of two to four months left. We are all trying to spend as much time with him as we can.
