My idea of a good weekend is not what i thought it was, infact it was nothing like i thought it was. I had joined an internet dating site with my mate as we were both fast approaching 30 and were alone and not that happy about it. We both enjoyed the single life style but enough was enough. So i was getting a few bites or interested parties on the site and finally i started instant messenging someone who sounded like a nice guy. Then he asked me if i wanted to meet him….GULP after much conversation with my friend about what the best thing to do was i took the plunge and arranged to meet him. So i got all dolled up only to be met with a drenched bloke in a now drenched car apologising a million times in one breath. I couldnt actually understand a word he was saying. So once he started making sense he explained that he has had a major incident with the carpet cleaning. Hmmm talk about bein blown off! This wasnt the case though after the apologies he told me he needed to go back and sort it out before it became bye bye carpet. He invited me back to his house and i aceepted (after telling my friend his address!) We spent all night in hysterics playing professional carpet cleaners on our hands and knees. Anyway so that was 6 years ago and my husband and i are still very much in love.
