Plant a Backyard Garden
April 29th, 2008 . by adminGrowing up as a kid, I remember my Dad always growing a few vegetables in our backyard. All summer-long we had fresh tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, zucchini and more. Planting tomatoes in a backyard garden is a summer ritual for many people. Tomatoes are a popular homegrown vegetable because of their ability to grow in many types of soil. Plants with minimal water needs are becoming increasingly important as many areas of the country experience more and more drought. I learned early on, that a backyard garden is a great way to add fresh, homegrown food to the table.
