Silver Prices Set To Rise Higher
September 19th, 2011 . by adminFor the many people holding silver in their investment portfolios, the beginning of May was a difficult period that saw silver prices fall by nearly 30% after a white-hot performance to begin the year. Prices were within reach of the all-time high set back in 1980, but then fell in rapid and dramatic fashion over a period of just two trading weeks.
Now that prices have stabilized in the mid-$30 per oz range, is silver set up for another run? It is certainly possible, especially since gold and silver generally move in tandem. Recent economic news from Europe, the United States, and even China is underscoring the security of safe haven assets in this challenging time in which we live. Gold has already been climbing steadily; it may not be long before investors turn again to the much more affordable silver as an alternative.
