Finally Learning How To Skateboard
July 31st, 2009 . by adminWe’re on vacation this week and having a great time. I did something yesterday that I’ve never done in my life. I’ve always wanted to learn how to skateboard. Never been on one before though. I was afraid that as old as I am, I wouldn’t be able to learn, and that if I fell and broke a bone or something I’d feel really stupid.
Turns out that the rec center here has got these padded suits you can wear and all kinds of safety gear. It doesn’t guarantee that you won’t hurt yourself (and I wouldn’t want any pictures taken in it) but it made me feel a lot more confident. The price wasn’t bad either. I’m going back before the end of the week. May even buy a board to take back home.
