Have you ever noticed how many opinions there are when it comes to getting your ex back? It seems that everyone knows exactly what you should be doing to get the relationship back – the worst of these are our own friends and family. Though they have your best intentions in mind, the problem with this is that the advice being doled out may not always be reliable. After all, not everyone is experienced when it comes to relationships and breakups.

So even though I am still trying to figure out how to get my ex back, I have trained myself to listen to those who seem to know what they are talking about. It’s not that I am rude to those who are giving me bad advice, it’s just that I filter out much of what I hear and only keep the good stuff. And when it really comes down to it, one can always find a nugget of wisdom in any conversation – the key is to have an open mind.
