The night of the Murder

August 11th, 2009 . by admin

It all went wrong after Sandra Rivett changed her night off, instead deciding to spend the evening in at 46 Lower Belgrave Street with Veronica and the three children, George, Frances and Camilla. She was a petite woman and had the same slight body shape as Veronica. Just before 9pm, Sandra went down to the basement to make some tea. There were no lights; it seems that Lord Lucan had removed the bulbs. Sandra was hammered to death with a piece of lead piping.  A few minutes later, Veronica went down to see what had happened. Lucan attacked her on the stairs, trying to throttle her with his gloved hands, before she downed him with a clean blow. After the storm of the fight, the pair chatted quietly on the stairs for a few minutes before Lucan went to have a wash. Veronica took her chance and fled the house. Spattered in blood, she ran screaming into the nearby Plumber’s Arms.
