Horses. My daughter, Danielle, loves horses. My friends all love horses. Horses scare the pants off me. I tried to change my daughter’s thinking. Horses are big, dangerous animals I’d say. Horses are gentle, affectionate and loving, she’d respond. “Mom, there is nothing like the feeling of sitting in a western saddle upon a beautiful quarter horse. You must try it sometime.” She would plead; I would worry. She would ride; I would watch. She would gallop; I would pray. Finally, she convinced me to get into the saddle. I am still a little afraid of those big, yet gentle animals, but I must admit my ride convinced me not to worry, but I take no chances, I still pray.
